Five things you need to know today

 

The City of Edinburgh Council Labour Group will launch their Moving Edinburgh Forward draft ‘vision and ideas’ document this morning, ahead of the council elections which will take place six months from today.  The group meet at 10 o’clock this morning at St Columba’s by the Castle on Johnstone Terrace when all the prospective Labour candidates will be  introduced.

The Scotsman Hotel may be up for sale soon according to some reports. The company running it has apparently gone into administration.

More newspaper news..The Scotsman’s Edinburgh & Lothian Herald & Post has been closed according to The Drum. This is the second Edinburgh title which has closed this year. The North Edinburgh News closed
