Christoper Hitchens and Stephen Fry at The Cameo

Well truthfully they will speak to each other on screen…but the screen is in The Cameo…

Intelligence²  will be screening its highly anticipated conversation between Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry LIVE in cinemas across the UK, and in particular at The Cameo brought to you by Picturehouse Entertainment.

For over forty years Christopher Hitchens, the celebrated writer and iconoclast, has written and spoken with passionate commitment on matters that others fear to broach. His life has been one of defiance, wit and humility. Now his life is threatened by cancer, but his devotion to the truth and his extraordinary courage are undiminished. Accepting the Richard Dawkins Freethinker of the Year Award in Texas last weekend he told the audience ‘I’m not going to quit until I absolutely have to.’

In this special event for Intelligence², Hitchens will be in conversation via satellite in Washington D.C. with his friend Stephen Fry who will be onstage at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in front of a sell-out audience of 2,500. This will be an unmissable opportunity to hear one of the great public intellectuals of our age discuss politics, literature and, as Hitchens puts it, ‘the things that make life worth defending – foes like faith and false consolation’.

There was a huge demand for tickets for the event at the Royal Festival Hall (tickets sold out within hours of going on sale). Picturehouse will show live HD screenings at selected cinemas in: London, Oxford, Cambridge, Norwich, Nottingham, Exeter, Southampton, Edinburgh and Belfast, with more locations to be added.
