Fringe Review: Muscle (***)
Muscle is a Welsh play based in Cardiff centring round interviews with men. The acting was of the highest quality though they regularly changed characters which made it a little hard to follow at times.
The simple set – amounting to 7 mobile door sized screens and 2 chairs – were used very effectively to interact with the multimedia projections being used.
Within part of the play, themes of domestic violence and preconceived ideas what being a ‘manly’ man is, are robustly challenged by ideas of respect, responsibility and love.
Many of the audience liked the drama, so do go along and let us know what you think!
Muscle is at Zoo Roxy, daily at 8pm
