We were at the City Chambers all day yesterday and took some time to interview a few of the people who were there some of whom were due to make deputations to the council during the day. It seems however, as noted in the chamber that none of the recent deputations to the City Council have made any difference whatsoever. Some have commented that the council seems to have made its mind up in advance and will not be swayed even by the most emotional pleas before them. There were 12 deputations to the council meeting yesterday. All are allowed five minutes each to put their case and then follows 10 minutes of questioning by the councillors.
