Open Eye Gallery exhibits Boyce, Bellany and Rodger

The Open Eye’s new exhibition opens on 31 January, although there is a private view on Saturday 29th. It includes work by Willie Rodger RSA RGI. Before graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1954, Willie Rodger had already sold prints to the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. This is the first, and perhaps the only time that Rodger’s printed small works can be viewed on such a large scale.

Jacqueline Leighton Boyce – I Wanted to find the Emperor

The Exmoor landscape is Jacqueline’s source of inspiration, with a particular fascination with the indigenous red deer. This exhibition is inspired by the reported stories of a giant stag on Exmoor who acquired the title of The Exmoor Emperor.

Also in the exhibition there are some more examples of the great John Bellany’s work in his Masterprints series.

The exhibition runs to 14 February
