Mrs. Lilian Cameron from Dunfermline presented  the Dalmeny Church congregation with extensive research notes compiled by her late son Neil Manson Cameron. This provided the inspiration for an up to date history and guide book that does justice to  Dalmeny Church, the most complete example of a Norman Parish Church in Scotland, and one with a fascinating history back through the centuries to the early Celtic Saints.

Minister at Dalmeny Church, the Rev. David Cameron, welcomed the large gathering and introduced his colleague and associate minister, the Rev. Sean Swindells,  who organised the production of the book. Rev Swindells introduced the author, Flora Johnston, who gave an interesting and  intriguing insight into the history over the centuries up to the present day. Her talk was followed by some poignant words from Mrs. Lilian Cameron.

Mrs Cameron expressed both satisfaction and pleasure that her late son’s extensive and painstaking research had been put to such good use in the book, and her memorable day was rendered complete when she discovered that when she was a teacher at Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline, the book’s author was in fact one of her pupils!
