easyjet Introduces New Paphos Flight from Edinburgh
easyJet will tomorrow launch flights from Edinburgh to the popular resort of Paphos in Cyprus.
Paphos is said to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty – and easyJet believes Scots holiday makers are sure to fall in love with this holiday hotspot.
The new route from the low-fares airline should make it easier than ever to jet off to the cosmopolitan Mediterranean resort, with twice-weekly flights (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) available from £31.99 (one-way).
Paphos is a major draw for tourists thanks to its sandy beaches, historic sites, impressive intricate mosaics, fantastic food and much more.
Sophie Dekkers, UK Commercial Manager of easyJet, said: “We are very excited to offer yet another new route from Edinburgh, giving customers an even wider choice of destinations at great prices.
“This will take our number of Edinburgh routes up to 19, and with another new route on the horizon later this month we are demonstrating our ongoing commitment to offering superb choice and value to our Scottish customers.”
Over the past year easyJet, which claims to be the UK’s largest airline, has announced the introduction of flights from Edinburgh to Lyon, Lisbon and Basel, and marked a major milestone at the airport in May when its 300millionth passenger was identified on a flight from Edinburgh to Geneva.
