News about Edinburgh.
National Trust for Scotland which has its HQ in Charlotte Square has announced it is selling some of its properties to try and make ends meet according to Country Life. This follows the strategic review by Rt Hon George Reid. You can read the text of that here. Funny then that there is nothing on the NTS website to confirm this. There is a long-winded statement from the Chief Executive who seems to be keeping her job in all of this though. Apparently the Trust did not even know what it owned. What will it sell then?
You can learn about the Leith Lending Circle on the Greener Leith blog. People with skills or equipment can lend these to people who need them…..like a multi-coloured swop shop…
Edinburgh Spotlight have already brought attention to the good works being done by Lynne McNicoll but we would like to draw your attention to the classes being staged today on how to make a fascinator. More details on how to join in the fun today and tomorrow at Telford College and also raise money at the same time on the It’s Good to Give Events page.
