Panto Season….the return of Andy Gray!
“For many years the King’s fielded an invincible panto double act in the shape of Allan Stewart and Andy Gray and we are delighted that Andy, once again, is appearing in a Qdos pantomime here at The King’s Theatre. We’re thrilled that he is back with the old gang,” says Michael Harrison, Managing Director of Qdos Pantomimes.
“More and more people attend the pantomime here at the King’s Theatre and it has become one of Scotland’s most successful Christmas show. In fact, more than 32,000 tickets have already been sold for Jack and the Beanstalk eight months ahead of its opening night!,” Michael added.
Andy will play the role of King Crumble in this year’s production and will undoubtedly bring gales of laughter and tears of joy to Edinburgh audiences. Allan Stewart will be donning his frock to take on the mantle of Dame Trot and providing helpless laughter to young and old alike. Joining this hapless duo will be The King’s regular baddie Grant Stott in the role of Fleshcreep.
Jack and the Beanstalk is staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, which will stage 22 productions throughout the UK this Christmas. Featuring magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy and a larger than life beanstalk – plus one very mean giant at the top of it is brought wonderfully to life in Scotland’s biggest pantomime. With ticket prices to suit all pockets you won’t have to sell the family cow to enjoy spectacular pantomime at The King’s Theatre.
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the King’s Theatre from Saturday 4 December 2010 to Sunday 23 January 2011. Tickets can be booked on 0131 529 6000 or www.kingstheatre.org.uk.
