TRAMS 2 – Trams in the Media

The Scotsman report in May 2010 that the plans for the £43m rail and tram interchange at Gogar had been rubber-stamped by councillors and work will get under way later in 2010. Network Rail are undertaking the works at their expense but the Council will pay just over quarter of a million pounds towards some of the work required to Gogar roundabout.

The The Scotsman related that Ian Rankin was apparently not consulted on the proposal to use his name and a photo of him to decorate a tram.

The BBC also reported in December 2009 that the tram lines are dangerous for cyclists who are to be offered classes in navigational issues.

The BBC carried a report in November 2009 that Princes Street was to reopen for Christmas.

There is a very nice YouTube film in our gallery which you can see here. It tries to tell some of the official story
