PETE JOHANSSON
“This is the funniest first hour I have ever seen from a comic here in Edinburgh.” – The Scotsman
Canadian Pete Johansson, the son of a professional hockey player, arrived in the UK in 2008 and rapidly become a favourite at London’s renowned Comedy Store.
He’s been invited onto Radio 4’s Loose Ends as well as other radio and TV programmes, performed alongside the likes of Stephen Merchant, Stewart Lee and Simon Amstell as part of charity Alert’s peace benefit at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London, and bagged a starring role opposite Ed Byrne is BBC4’s Sex Bombs.
His 2009 Edinburgh show Naked Pictures of My Life, an examination of his embarrassing experiences, garnered rave reviews and won him a nomination for one of the most coveted awards in comedy.
CARL DONNELLY
“The highest rated emerging star on the UK circuit. Hilarious.” – The Guardian
Carl started performing stand-up regularly in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new comics climbing the comedy ladder.
His conversational style and silly sense of humour have seen him win a host of awards and become a regular act and MC at clubs all over the country. He has also performed in France, Germany, Singapore, The Netherlands, Oman, Dubai, Ireland and probably some other countries he can’t remember!
His instantly likeable brand of silliness has seen him appear on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, ITV’s Comedy Cuts and Comedy Central’s Grouchy Young Men.
